The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations is a specialized agency of the United Nations that leads international efforts to defeat hunger and ensures food security for all while preserving the integrity of the natural environment and strengthening resilience to climate change. Their goal is to achieve food security for all and make sure that people have regular access to enough high-quality food to lead active, healthy lives. With over 194 member states, FAO works in over 130 countries worldwide. They believe that everyone, especially young people, can play a part in ending hunger and achieve sustainable development globally.
Industry Disruptors Game Changers (IDGC) holds cumulative experience and a proven record of promoting innovation and entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial ecosystem building through various activities & means. Leading among those is Future Agro Challenge (FAC), a global innovation platform, active in over 60 countries across 5 continents, founded with the mission to unlock capabilities to improve agriculture for the future, discover agri-food technology ventures across the globe and help solve local, regional or global challenges.
Berytech is the leading Entrepreneurship Support Ecosystem in Lebanon and a key player in the MENA. Agrytech, an Agri-Food Innovation Accelerator launched by Berytech in 2017, has been a leading player in MENA supporting entrepreneurs, start and launch their ventures and scale them up. Another flagship program, the Water and Energy for Food Regional Innovation Hub for MENA www.we4f.org, is supporting innovators across 10 countries in the MENA.
